Day 37: A tough decision...

It looks like I have caught a flu / cold bug whilst I was visiting Massiliano's blog last week!!!! I had a 5am start today and dosed myself with paracetamol all day. I have been thinking the whole time in the office, do I train tonight, don't I???

Well it was a tough decision but I decided against it. I could have managed to do it but I think it would have taken too much out of me and caused a delay in my recovery. I am not bed ridden by any means and I think that due to my fitness levels and eating clean I will get rid of this very quickly. I hope I will be able to get my final training session in tomorrow but if not life goes on and I will live to fight another day.

It would have been easy to go and train tonight but it is tougher to listen closely to your body and when you need to take rest. I am taking this good advice from previous comments / blogs by Suzette and Christy, thanks ladies.

No training today but pics will be submitted and I will certainly see the shred out, hopefully with a workout tomorrow.

Take care all of you and train hard for the final couple of days, some good times are ahead I think.

Until tomorrow....

Hmmm, I'll be staying away from that ful guy's blog...cute:-)
I liked your comment at the end "I will live to fight another day"
With that kind of an attitude you can do anything you set your mind to.

You caught the flu while visitng Massimiliano's blog. lol

I'm sorry you are under the weather. I agree you are very fit and will recover very quickly. "It would have been easy to train ..." Easy to train. It's so the other way for me. I love that about you.

PS My mum was an Engineer for Westinghouse.

Bud..DO NOT TRAIN when you feel flu coming on. If you own a HRM and know you resting HR. Check it as you wake up. More than 10 bpm over resting.. no training.

Elevating you HR could not only do permanent damage to your heart but could kill you. And I'm not being dramatic.

At best it will elevate your condition radically.

2-3 days off is better than a month off.

Hey Lynda,

Thanks, it's gonna take a few days but I will get there for sure, it's nothing serious.

Take care,

Andrew

Hey Diane,

You've got to be positive otherwise you will never achieve anything in life at all! Thanks Diane, I know you are going to achieve big things from reading your blog too. Keep up the great work.

Take care,

Andrew

Hey Christy,

I disagree, you have been pushing yourself just as much if not more than me over the past 13 days, your achievements are massive and don't let anyone say any different.

Take care,

Andrew

Hey Dougal,

Thanks mate, I know when to train and when not to but did not realise that the consequences could be that severe. Even though I have been working both days I would not have the energy to workout anyway. I jogged 100 metres to the car today after dropping the boys at school and felt light headed!! Oh the joys, still I get the rest and then return with a renewed intensity.

Thanks mate,

Andrew
